Remembering Alan Krueger

We have sad news to share. Dr. Alan Krueger, the distinguished Princeton University economist, passed away on March 16th at the age of 58. He was a brilliant and dedicated public servant, a renowned economist, and a celebrated teacher. Among his many accomplishments, he was an original co-signatory of the "Economists’ Statement on Carbon Dividends."

There have been countless moving tributes since his passing, including coverage in the NYT, WSJ, Washington Post, Reuters, NPR, Economist, Politico, Fox, NBC, Bloomberg, and more.

Krueger quite literally changed the field of economics, as these moving remembrances (here, here, here, and here) describe. This Bloomberg tribute, in particular, outlines Krueger's remarkable legacy.

A prolific scholar, Krueger was also known for his research on happiness. His findings in these and other areas have influenced the lives of millions.

We salute him and his service to our country. May his memory be a blessing.
